After the practice on Monday night, opportunity was taken by the Sale City bandsmen to farewell Mr. J. A. Tulk, who has been transferred by the R.A.A.F. to Wagga. Mr. F. Glover acted as chairman and outlined the reason for the gathering. He then handed over to Mr. M. Murray, who, in a few well chosen words, wished the guest good fortune in his new sphere. Others to add their good wishes were Messrs. E. G. Mays (bandmaster), G. Lennard and, R. Skeen. On behalf of bandsmen, Mr. Murray presented Mr. Tulk with a memento in recognition of his services as secretary. Mr. Tulk expressed sincere thanks to bandsmen for their kindly remarks and the gift. He would always, remember his happy association with the Sale City Band. He will leave for Wagga on Tuesday.
