Annual Meeting Notice

Gippsland Times 18 March 1935

(To the Editor)

Sir.-I desire to bring under the notice of the citizens of Sale the annual meeting of the Sale Band on Thursday next at 8pm in the Mechanics Institute.

The bandsmen who give up considerable amount of time in a voluntary way deserve all the support they can get. An efficient Bandmaster has been obtained, who speaks well of those under his control but the co-operation of the citizens is essential. I trust, therefore, that the citizens will attend the meeting in good numbers on Thursday evening.

Yours, etc

R M Roland Mayor

Bandmaster Departs

Gippsland Times 12 April 1937
The Sale Town Band is losing its bandmaster (Mr. Warren), who has obtained a similar position at Queenstown (Tasmania). The band made good progress under Mr. Warren's control and bandsmen and his many friends wish him and his family success in their new sphere.
