The Sale City Band has re-opened the Sale Brass Academy for 2022.
The learners' music group is open to anyone who wishes to play an instrument but has neved had the oportunity; or for anyone that used to play and is looking for a chance to get the cobwebs cleared and make music once again.
The group will meet in the Sale City Band Hall, Foster St, every Monday from 5pm till 5:45pm, beginning on Monday, February 7.
There are tuition fees, and hire of an instrument can be arranged.
The learners' sessions will be taken by Caroline Monck, the band's Musical Director.
"This is the perfect opportunity to learn and instrument", she said.
"But it is also a great chance to meet new people and have fun. Making music is good for you in so many ways."
The Sale City Band, originally the Sale Borough Band, has been performing and teaching young musicians since 1871.
Although the Band'a 150-year celebrations had to be posponed in 2021, the band is planning to make the most of 2022 and will hold the Anniversary Concert at the Wedge later in the year.
The first information session for the Sale Brass Academy is Monday, February 7 at 5pm.
